according to Linda Ikeji, she said she knows  Simi will hate her for this...but darling, it's her  job...she  had to post this...*wink*. So here's what happened. Dr Sid's fiancee, Simi Osomo held a bachelorette party this past weekend in Las Vegas.  And some of you observed that there were no others at the party...well, I just found out that it's because all the people she invited to the party didn't show up.

Simi is furious at her friends for standing her up and have uninvited all of them from her wedding to Dr Sid. She sent out an email yesterday asking all the friends she invited to Vegas who didn't show up, not to bother attending her wedding.
"Yes, she invited quite a few close female pals but she wasn't paying for accommodation or flight and most of them didn't think it was worth it. It was a bachelorrette party, not a wedding and Vegas is an expensive place to visit if you didn't plan for it" a close source said

According to new research, husbands who earn less than their wives are more likely to have good sex lives and happier marriages.A poll showed that 56 per cent of men whose wages are lower than their spouses said they had ‘hot’ or ‘very good’ sex....

 ‘Everyone knows that stress is bad for your sex life.If both partners in a relationship are earning about the same amount of money, then it's a logical conclusion that stress will be reduced. It makes sense that better sex would follow.Equal earning power may also indicate that a relationship feels like a more equal partnership, in which each member of a couple feels like they are contributing and gaining.I wouldn't advocate that men rush out and quit their jobs to improve their sex lives but it’s another reason for them to join women in the campaign for gender pay equity.’

Dina Lohan DWI Case -- Judge RIPS DiLo: You're This Close to Being a Killer

According to TMZ, Dina Lohan was sentenced today on Long Island in her DWI case, but the judge delivered his harshest words to Dina after the fact ... saying she was lucky she didn't kill anyone.

Lohan pled guilty to DWI and speeding ... and was ordered to complete 100 hours of community service and had her license revoked for a year. Once she can drive, she'll have an interlock device installed on her car for another year.

But after Judge Engel handed down the sentence, he had rough words for Dina, saying, "The only person responsible for this ordeal is Miss Lohan. She is just lucky nobody was killed. She may not be as lucky next time"

Upon hearing that, Dina replied, "There will not be a next time."

That should be the Lohan family motto.

Passenger arrested trying to board US bound flight with 66 birds sewn to his trousers

A man has been arrested at Ignacio Agramonte International Airport,Cuba  for attempting to board a flight to America with 66 birds sewn inside his trousers.The man nearly made it on to the aircraft because the Metal Dectector didn't pick up any signal of the contraband.However,a customs officer noticed he was acting and walking funny and his trousers had bulges .He was taken for a body search where he said"

Billionaire businessman Femi Otedola makes $398million in 90 days

According to Forbes Africa, billionaire businessman Femi Otedola made $398million between March 3 to June 2. #Ojigbijigbijigbithings. Hehe. See their report below
Nigerian energy mogul Femi Otedola has become at least $398 million richer between March 3 and June 2 as shares of Forte Oil PLC, a Nigerian Stock Exchange-listed energy distributor, surged 167% in that period.
Forte Oil PLC is primarily engaged in the distribution of petroleum products such as diesel, aviation fuel and Premium Motor Spirit (PMS). The company has over 500 company-owned, dealer-assisted and dealer-developed gas stations spread across the country, oil storage depots in Lagos and Rivers states, a Power plant and a Joint User Hydrant Installation facility in Lagos. The company also sells its own range of automobile lubricants.
On March 3, the company’s stock was trading at N88.4 ($0.55), and at the close of trading today (Monday), its share price was N235.79 ($1.46). According to Akinbamidele Akintola, Vice President, Africa equity sales at Renaissance Capital, the recent unprecedented demand and surge in Forte Oil’s shares may not be unconnected to the company’s recent inclusion in the Morgan Stanley MS +0.13% Capital International (MSCI ) Frontier Market 100 Index. Listing in such indexes usually attracts interest from global investors who track these companies.

Otedola became the largest shareholder in Forte Oil (formerly called African Petroleum) in 2007 when he acquired a 28.7% stake in the company from the government-owned oil company, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) for $120 million. He subsequently appointed himself as chairman of the company. Otedola, 47, has gobbled up additional shares over the years and now owns more than 40% of the $1.5 billion (Market Capitalization) company. According to information available from registrar sources, he currently owns 436,809,537 shares valued at N103 billion ($635 million). He pocketed at least $11 million in dividends from profits made by his company in February as Forte Oil paid shareholders a dividend of N4 ($0.0023) per ordinary share from its 2013 profits. A representative for Femi Otedola could not be reached for comment at press time.

'We did not ban Abuja protests' - Nigerian Police say

             

                

The Nigerian Police Headquarters has issued a statement saying they didn't ban any protests in Abuja. According to a statement signed by CSP Frank Mba, what was issued yesterday by the FCT Commissioner of Police, Joseph Mbu was only an advisory notice and not a ban. Find the statement below.
The Police High Command wishes to inform the general public that the Force has not issued any order banning peaceful assemblies/protests anywhere in Nigeria. It notes however that against the backdrop of current security challenges in the country, coupled with a recent intelligence report of a likely infiltration and hijack of otherwise innocuous and peaceful protests by some criminal elements having links with insurgents, the Police only issued advisory notice, enjoining citizens to apply caution in the said rallies, particularly in the Federal Capital Territory and its environs.

Seattle Seahawks superstar Michael Bennett was poppin' bottles left and right this weekend -- with 12 of his teammates -- but they weren't spendin' money ... they were raising it.

The video is damn entertaining -- Gavyn Edlinger, the manager at Family Dollar in Saginaw, Mich. confronted a few alleged shoplifters (one of whom was pregnant) in the parking lot last week. It quickly turned into screaming, yelling, the Febreze spray and this classic line -- "Bitch, what I want you to do is do something. I will whoop yo' ass!"

Gavyn tells TMZ he was canned six days after the confrontation -- and it probably didn't help that it blew up on the web.

Edlinger called the incident an unfortunate scene and claims the mother of one of the girls in the video called the store to apologize. He says he tried to have the video taken down, but when the guy refused ... he decided to just own it.

Ex-beauty queen Nike Oshinowo who welcomed a set of twin via surrogacy in December 2013 says she knows the father of her twins and that the timing of her children's arrival was all determined by God. The new mum, who spoke with Hello Nigeria recently, said the birth of her twins is the most beautiful thing that has happened to her after her illness, Endometriosis, left her infertile for years.

Nike, on why she decided to go the route of surrogacy:
"I was out of my marriage and I was lying in bed, talking to my God."Okay, so, here I am, is this what you want for me? Please tell me the next step. What am I supposed to do now? And I fell asleep. As I slept, I felt a tug on the bedding and I opened my eyes, there is nothing and so I look at the bottom of my bed to see a little child tugging at the bottom of my duvet. It was a little girl so I carried her, put her on my bed and she played while I slept. She would always come in my sleep and play and then I would put her on my bed, we would play and then we would sleep. The one day I thought 'This little girl I keep seeing in my dreams, maybe I can have a child. Maybe it is God's way of telling me its time. I take my iPad while lying in bed and I start surfing the net all the while thinking I have Endometriosis. I literally typed in Google search 'what is the best way to have a child if you have extreme Endometriosis? I hit search and it came out!" she said.

My issue with Ibinabo still stands' – Clarion Chukwura

Last week, we saw this pic of Clarion Chukwura with Ibinabo Fiberesima and Teco Benson and we assumed that all was well in Ibinabo/Clarion universe, but not so quick people. According to Clarion, her issues with the AGN president still stands. She explained how the pic came about and her surprise at seeing it on the internet.

As I was going back to my seat, Ibinabo got up and hugged me and beckoned the photographers to take our picture. Nigerian 19-yr-old, who tested HIV-positive after she was gang-raped, seeks justice

 Helen (surname withheld) will be 20 years on October 10. But she now bears a burden that is too heavy for her age. She was gang-raped in January this year and was diagnosed with HIV last month. Due to the heart-rending experience and the medical diagnosis that followed, the once cheerful and vivacious Helen now wears a long face as she carries with her the psychological burden of the experience.
After secondary school in 2008, Helen wanted to further her education, but being the fifth of 11 children comes with its own challenge. “Na the condition of no money, na im prevent me from going further,” said Helen when asked why she had not bothered to continue her education.

Despite her background, Helen was unperturbed. Determined that she would return to school some day, she began working as a cleaner in a big firm at Lekki, Lagos, from where she hoped to save for school. She had worked there for almost a year before the tragic episode that altered her life dramatically took place. It was with a deep emotion that she recounted her ordeal.

Sterling filed a federal lawsuit againt NBA

Donald Sterling has filed a lawsuit against the NBA for more than $1 BILLION, claiming he was unconstitutionally bullied out of the league.

Sterling filed a federal lawsuit Friday afternoon ... claiming the NBA booted him from the league based on what he called an illegal recording that was widely publicized ... painting him as a racist.

As you know ... TMZ obtained the recording and posted it on the website.

Sterling also claims the $2.5 million fine was baseless and a violation of antitrust laws.

Shelly Sterling sold the team late Thursday to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer for $2 billion.  The deal will almost certainly be ratified by the NBA.

RAY J arrested, allegedly spit on police officer

According toTMZ, Ray J was busted by Beverly Hills cops tonight after a disturbance at a swanky hotel allegedly turned into a violent confrontation with officers ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us Beverly Hills PD got a call Friday evening from someone claiming Ray J was causing a ruckus inside a bar at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel ... and officers were dispatched.

We're told hotel staff asked Ray J to leave, but he refused. TMZ obtained photos of officers on the scene questioning Ray and an unidentified woman ... shortly before he was taken into custody -- and we're told he did not go quietly.

Once cuffed in the back seat of a patrol unit ... Ray allegedly kicked out a window of the vehicle.

Right now Ray is getting booked by Bev Hills PD for trespassing, vandalism, resisting arrest, and battery ... according to our sources.

We're told the battery is for allegedly spitting on an officer during the arrest.

Twenty-four-year-old Sherifat Bakare and four other members of her gang, were apprehended on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 by the men of Ogun State SARS, who had been on their trail after receiving a tip-off about the gang’s plan.She told Punch,It all began a few weeks ago when another member of the gang, Bola Onasile, (also in SARS custody) had approached her boyfriend about the availability of N70m in a wealthy man’s house in Joju area of Sango, Ogun State.

Flo Rida's battle with his former assistant is finally over and the only clear winner in their legal war is ... her legal team, which is making out way better than she is ... TMZ has learned.

TMZ broke the story ... a woman named Mahogany Miller sued Flo back in 2012, claiming the rapper worked her to the bone for chump change ... and then fired her when she complained about the low wages.

The suit's dragged on for more than 2 years, but this week Flo finally agreed to settle and pay her $8,684 -- but another $10,000 is going to her attorneys!

When all else fails, throw money at the problem -- and its lawyers -- until it goes away.
